The Pheran
Loosely, by design. A pheran falls straight from the shoulder with room through the body, so it layers easily over a kurta or a fine knit. Please check the size guide on this page and choose the size you normally wear: if you usually wear XL, choose XL. Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp at +91-9419282080 and we will guide you.
The pheran is Kashmir's traditional winter garment. It is cut wider, with roomier sleeves, so warmth can be layered beneath it. A kurta is usually lighter and closer to the body. Both are worn over trousers or a salwar.
Care & Styling
Dry clean only. Store your pheran folded in a cotton or muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight, and avoid spraying perfume directly onto Tilla or Zari, as it can dull the metallic thread.
For celebrations, wear it over a matching salwar or straight trousers with traditional jewellery. For everyday, pair it with slim trousers, jeans or leggings and ankle boots. Let the embroidery lead and keep everything else simple.

Shipping is free on all pherans within India. Your pheran is dispatched within 2-3 days from Jammu and Kashmir and usually reaches you within 5-7 days after dispatch.
Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across India.
Yes. Easy returns and exchanges are available within 7 days of delivery, if the pheran is unworn, with tags and in its original packaging. Simply write to care@hamiast.com within 7 days and we will arrange a reverse pickup from your address. Sale items cannot be returned. If your pheran arrives damaged or defective, email us and we will refund it in full after verification.
Yes. International shipping is available for pherans. Shipping charges are extra and are calculated on weight and destination; any customs duties are paid by the customer.
